Dintr-un text despre migraţia forţei de muncă (din Africa spre Europa) şi despre migraţie în general. Îmi pune probleme “leave their home in search of self-improvement”, care bănuiesc că este un eufemism pentru “pleacă de-acasă de sărăcie”. Până acum n-am văzut căpşunar care să spună că a plecat de dragul self-improvementului. Vă mulţumesc anticipat pentru orice sugestii. Iată şi contextul:

: This may be patronising - working for an NGO, I say there is a difference between self-improvement and a better life. The better life is an effect of the former. Self-improvement = a-si perfectiona capacitatile personale, a-si realiza potentialul, etc.
