I'm not quite sure from your entry whether you're really looking for "Sterbesstandesamt" (I don't think that's used in German...!) or "Sterberegisternummer des Standesamtes"
At least in the UK, the Standesamt is called the "General Register Office" (a.k.a. RegistRY office) - as they (as someone mentioned earlier in the discussion) do not only register deaths (is there really any official office only for registering deaths?!), but other civil registration info too.
