French to English Tech/Engineering Environment & Ecology Waste disposal - type of waste
Type of construction waste in a diagram specifying the means of disposing of various types of hazardous and non-hazardous construction waste.

This one is different from hazardous waste, special industrial waste or common industrial waste, being classified in a different category from these, and transported by a different vehicle or contractor (same garbage truck picture, though).

Thanks!

@Anca Can you please post your discussion suggestion as an answer? It may not be this particular company, but it may well refer to a specific contracting firm.
Sandra & Kenneth Grossman (asker) Oct 14, 2014:
Thanks, Jane That's exactly what I thought, except that, on a closer look, it turned out to be the registered name of a company specializing in salvaging and recycling demolition resources. I can't assume this is a jargon word for "recycling", although some form of recycling seems relevant.
Jane Phillips Oct 14, 2014:
Industrial dismantling and recovery? Could they not be using Démentèlement Récupérations Industriels as a type of waste, as it is handled by a specific type of company (as opposed to food waste etc).<p> Giving a translation such as Industrial, dismantling and recovery?
Sandra & Kenneth Grossman (asker) Oct 13, 2014:
Thanks, Anca and Moira I also thought so...but... would they bunch together a demolition and recycling company with the waste to be disposed of?
MoiraB Oct 13, 2014:
Is it definitely a type of waste.. ..and not the name of a company? cf. D.R.I (Démantèlement Récupération Industriel) http://www.annuaire-horaire.fr/societe/Dechets-fers-metaux-C...

There are many "answers", all for this same company

Since they only collect ferrous waste, maybe they do use it as an abbreviation for this type of waste?

4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "While I have no idea whether this is the contractor they used, or its subsidiary, or some other firm, it is quite likely that this refers to the contractor. "
