Czyli jest to uznaniowy rabat przyznawany klientowi, który jest z jakiegoś powodu niezadwolony z towaru, ale który nie chce kwestionowanego produktu zwrócić czy wymienić. Aby to zrekompensować, sprzedający przyznaje klientowi, wg własnego uznania, rabat specjalny/dodatkowy obniżając albo 1) cenę produktu albo 2) koszt wysyłki ujęte w zamówieniu. Rabat może być kwotowy (amount off) albo procentowy (percentage off).
