Italian term
Farmacia Eredi Dott. Paperone
Italian to English
Medical
Medical (general)
Pharmacy Names
This is the heading of a pharmacy receipt showing payment for a medication (names changed slightly except for Eredi)
FARMACIA EREDI
DOTT. PAPERONE
Di Saronno, Dr Marco
Via Valentino ... etc.
Looking online it seems that there are many of these Farmacie Eredi, followed by some specific name.
Is Farmacia Eredi the name of a chain of pharmacies in Italy? I think, then, I should leave Eredi in Italian and translate the first line as EREDI PHARMACY. Then ... how do the names of the doctors fit into the word order of the translation? On the receipt, DOTT. PAPERONE appears in all capital letters, followed by Di Saronno, Dr. Marco in capital letters, but smaller.
An explanation of these Eredi pharmacies would help.
Hope this question is clear, grazie mille!

Farmacia Eredi Dott. Paperone
It's the name of the pharmacy, and should be left as it is. Eredi means heirs, so this one was founded by Dr Paperone and is still in the family.

Note from asker:
Ciao again Phil! Just a note on the name change: I often use Paperone in place of a real name that appears in a file. FYI, in case you don't know this important cultural fact, il Zio Paperone is the Italian equivalent of our English Uncle Scrooge. |
