French term

Barquette injecté

French to English Marketing Real Estate
Hi guys,

This is referring to the end strip of a display stand (a strip the customer would see if they were facing the display stand head on), the kind of one where products are stacked one behind the other with a spring system so the first product moves forward.

Any ideas what the term might be?

Cheers,
Nick

Extract from source It would be helpful to see the term in an extract of the source document.
AllegroTrans Jan 10, 2021:
@ Althea The photos in your link definitely seem to match Nicholas's description, so I think "plastic packaging" can't work here, they are effectively solid trays
AllegroTrans Jan 10, 2021:
@Suzie I agree with Conor. With the description that Nicholas has given, yours is the only suggestion so far that fits. Do please post it.
Suzie Withers Jan 10, 2021:
@Conor The reason I haven't posted an answer is that the term in the question doesn't seem to match the description given, so I'm not sure exactly which one the answer should be...
Conor McAuley Jan 10, 2021:
I like Suzie's take on it Use the details you've got, kind of "Say what you see".

Suzie: why not post your interpretation as an answer?
Althea Draper Jan 9, 2021:
Like these? They translate it as 'plastic injection tray' but I don't think this would be the term used in the UK.

If so, then it looks like the English for 'Barquette injecté' would be 'shelf tray' see https://ebooks.exakta.se/hl/2020/product_catalogue/124/#zoom... page 124 onwards.

If it is like the ones that has a cassette that makes sure the products are always to the front of the display, it would be called a 'shelf tray with pusher' or 'pusher tray' as Suzie pointed out (see the catalogue for various styles).
Suzie Withers Jan 9, 2021:
From the description you give... From the description you've given, I would say spring-loaded product pushers, shelf pushers, these are the kind of terms that seem to be used:

https://www.dwdisplay.co.uk/product-pushers

but this has nothing to do with barquettes injectées as far as I can tell, which just seem to be moulded containers of various shapes, sizes and usages...

Shelf-ready or retail-ready plastic packaging

Peer comment(s):

neutral AllegroTrans : The first of your links seems to match Nicholas's description, but I wouldn't call this "packaging"

Injection moulded plastic packaging

neutral AllegroTrans : I wouldn't call this "packaging", it seems to be a solid article

(spring-loaded) product pusher

This relates to the description given by the asker rather than the term on its own, which would suggest a moulded shelf tray or container.

Also shelf pusher

Moulded plastic product display tray

I think this may simpy be a case of "describe what you see"

I have left out "spring loaded" because this isn't actually in the term
