Spanish term

bajo protesta de decir verdad

Are you using the latest version of the ProZ software? I had the same problem until I switched over. Good luck! Muriel

In a U.S. document originally written in English, \"under oath\" is sufficient without saying anything about \"telling the truth\".

agree Muriel Vasconcellos : I think it depends on the context whether or not you include "tell the truth."

Gracias, Muriel.
agree pawlik : I'd leave out the truth bit. Obviously, you can't leave it out in the Spanish version as it changes the meaning completely.

Gracias, Pawlik, in translating an existing document I leave it in for accuracy, but if it involved adjusting a document for use in the U.S. in English then I would follow the norm and leave it out. The first case is very much more common.
