"Many ethnic recipes call for using a bruised cardamom pod. To bruise a pod, gently thump it with a rolling pin or put it under the flat end of a but-cher’s knife and give it a gentle push. Bruising releases the oils, allowing their flavors to meld with the other ingredients. For recipes calling for whole seeds, bruising helps relea-se their oils as well. At the end of the cooking, you should discard pods, but not seeds."

Weiß vielleicht jemand, wie man "bruised" hier am besten auf Deutsch übersetzen könnte? Gibt es dafür bereits einen festen Begriff? Ansonsten dachte ich an "angebrochene Kardamom-Samenkapsel". Tipps wären super, vielen Dank! :-)

Explanation:
Es wird bruised auch als geschrotet übersetzt, wie bruised pepper. Aber hier geht man genauso vor, wie ich es mit dem Knoblauch kenne und ich habe es aktuell mit einer Kardamomsamenkapsel ausprobiert, habe sie gepresst und jetzt liegt der Kardamomduft in der Luft :)

Asker: Oh, vielen lieben Dank, auch fürs Ausprobieren! :-) "gepresst" hört sich gut an, und auch "Kardamomkapsel" statt "Samenkapseln". Ich hoffe, der Kardamomduft ist angenehm, ich habs selber leider noch nie probiert. ;-)

neutral  Michaela Sommer: Kardamon lässt sich nicht wie Knoblauch pressen, da die Kapsel (oder Schote) hart ist; sie muss daher zerdrückt o. zerquetscht werden.

Asker: Vielen Dank, Gudrun! :-) Ich denke, je nach der Kraft, die ausgeübt wird, könnte das auch gut passen. Ich kenne mich mit Kardamom leider gar nicht aus, das muss sich ändern. lol. Danke auch Michaela für den Kommentar!

neutral  Michaela Müller: Wenn es unters Messer gelegt wird, wird es doch nicht zerstoßen - da passt Quetschen (wie in Deinem eigenen Link ebenfalls angegeben) besser, da man es auch für den Stößel oder das Nudelholz nehmen kann
