English to German translations [PRO] Marketing - Idioms / Maxims / Sayings
English term or phrase:give it some stick
I am translating a brochure for accessoires for cameras and camcorders. Now I came across the above mentioned idiom and so far I haven't come up with a satisfying solution. Here is the context:
Give it some stick (headline) One of the joys of shooting video is taking your camera to unexpected places. So when you’re being more adventurous you want a case you can trust. Our new shock-resistant range of cases protects your camera from sudden drops...
Obviously, after that paragraph, the range of cases is shown and explained. I would appreciate any help! Thanks!

Of course the general idea is to convince the purchaser that the case provides a good level of protection for the contents ... but the answer should stick somewhat to the intended spirit of the original. "Nimm sie mit! Keine Angst!"
Das ist KEIN angriff auf Dich, sondern ein kleiner Untergriff gegenüber den zumutungen, denen wir manchmal mit Werbung ausgesetzt sind. Die Werbung kann also manchmal wie Ohrfeigen sein. Alles geklärt?
das hab ich wohl verstanden, aber das "sicher einpacken" reicht eigentlich auch ;-) !als knappe Überschrift! der Rest wird dann ja eh im Text erklärt von wegen drops & co.
Ja, genau darum geht es :-) Und solange mir kein knackiger Spruch einfällt, werde ich das wohl auch so machen müssen. Zumindest bin ich mir jetzt jedoch sicher, dass bereits die englische Überschrift in diesem Zusammenhang etwas merkwürdig ist...

@DERDOKTOR (V.Rossi-Fan?? ) Mach Dampf... passt auch nicht so recht für ne Kamera, bei der es um das feste stoss- und wasserdichte Gehäuse geht -zumindest hab ich das so verstanden hier-
Ja, das habe ich auch per Google gefunden, nur finde ich das in dem Kontext auch irgendwie recht unpassend. Es geht schließlich darum, dass die besagten Taschen die Kamera vor allem schützen, wenn man unterwegs ist. Ich dachte auch schon an sowas wie "Über Stock und Stein" oder haltet Ihr das für zu abwegig?
heißt der Ausdruck, dem reit-oder Tragtier den stock zu geben, es also mit gewalt antreiben, aber das hat so einen unsympathischen Geschmack, daß damit in einer Werbebroschüre nichts erreicht wäre.
