Reference: http://www.aeromedia.it/lb2409.html |

Nutzlast-Trägersystem Explanation: From what is described, it is very probably the above. If it's about explosive warheads, as the guidance fins seem to suggest, then possibly Gefechtskopf-Trägersystem - could be shot from something along the lines of a TOW missile launcher "As the missile exits the launch tube, first four wings just forward of the flight motor spring open forwards, followed by four tail control surfaces which flip open rearwards as the missile completely exits the launch tube." Source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BGM-71_TOW#Design_and_developm... -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 3 hrs (2017-10-25 12:14:53 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- What is odd in your piece of copy, is that "delivery system" usually refers to the launcher of a missile or projectile. The description, however, seems to be describing what is actually launched, hence the vanes for stabilization. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 22 hrs (2017-10-26 07:53:04 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Your idea seems pretty good. I visualise the thing as something like a hollow mortar bomb case with variable loading options. IIRR, a payload cup is also the description for the grenade launcher attachments that can be attached to rifles and use a propellant cartridge in the rifle magazine to fire whatever is in the cup. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 1 day7 hrs (2017-10-26 16:23:13 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Final suggestion (see discussion entry): Treibsatz |
