Quando, em Inglês, se utiliza o termo "studio album", julgo fazer-se a especificação à gravação de um álbum em estúdio. Mas em Português nunca ouvi o termo "álbum de estúdio".

- Há algum equivalente específico?
- Deve dizer-se só "álbum" ou "disco"?
- Ou, em último caso, deverá explicar-se com a expressão: "álbum gravado em estúdio" (que eu julgo ser algo dispensável e inconveniente)?

Para ilustrar, por favor vejam o caso seguinte:

Repare que existe a distinção entre «studio album» e «unplugged/live album» (álbum ao vivo).
