French term

au troisième étage face

Non-PRO French to English Other Construction / Civil Engineering Layout of a building
This is in a lease, and I am confused when 'face'is not followed by what it is facing, although it does occur in both forms on the internet.
A longer quotation reads 'Un local commercial à usage de bureaux situé au troisième étage face, comprenant un accueil,...'

neutral Bourth (X) : "Front" could be interpreted as "at the front of the building", as might be the case with a central landing serving appartments at the front and at the back.

when you reach the top of the stairs OR come out of the lift. Can be confusing when stairs and lift exit at different angles, but I suspect "stairs" prevails for historical reasons! My apartment in Paris is "4° étage face" (no lift).

i.e. not the doors on the right or left. In large buildings you can get things like \"face centre\", \"face droite\", \"2° droite\", etc.

Comment: "Thanks for your answer. It was helpful, but I chose the other one, which was basically very similar but had the backing of a few people."
