têtes de travées running from the distribution closet to the ends of the span or ends fo the drop Explanation: The sentence is about the cable guides on the floor for the 230 V wiring running from the closet to the ends of the span... Travée is NOT a switch bay...It's a SPAN of cable....and tete de travee is the end point or end of the that cable span..it just means a LENGTH of cable...:) Drop: Slang term used for each ***cabling span*** pulled from a telecommunications closet. [FYI] Equipment Room: The space dedicated to telecommunications equipment. Horizontal Wiring: The span of cabling and connectors between the wiring closet and each drop. It is called horizontal because this type of wiring does not go up or down any floors of a building. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 7 hrs 15 mins (2004-07-13 16:19:28 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- ACTUALLY \'\'POWER CABINET OR ELECTRICAL CABINET\" THOUGH CLOSET IS SOMETIMES USED. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 7 hrs 16 mins (2004-07-13 16:20:35 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- The BAIES here are not repetitions...it is a [server] BAY...and thus not an electrical cabinet...there are two sets of horizontal wiring being talked about here.. |
