agree Tony M : Ha! I've got one of those in my cupboard! I'd have though 'stoneware bottle' was enough, by their fabrication process they are almost bound to be cylindrical (rather than bottle-shaped!)

I once saw someone using one as a rolling pin - it was in a hot country and they kept it in the fridge.
