mass-market product Explanation: Never heard of *produit de distribution* which is not to say it does not exist. Could they mean *produit de **grande** distribution (mass-market product)? |

additional information Explanation: Karen, IT is not my field. The only occurrence of the term I found on the Net is in a document from France, where it seems the idea is one of physical "distribution" with no archiving capabilities (not the correct technospeak, I know). |

hardware sales Explanation: The term "produits de distribution" clearly refers to products of other companies, distributed by the company in question. These might be equipment, gadgets, even T-shirts, everything what is not of own make. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 2001-12-12 19:21:35 (GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Of course, you might opt for an expression like "purchased goods" instead of "hardware sales" in the title, as explained, but in case of such companies, hardware is the typical article in a similar situation. |
