Would anyone be able to tell me how this would be rendered in English, please? The prefix "simili" is used in this manner throughout the text ("forme générale simili-cylindrique", "générateur simili-droit", "courbe simili-polygonale").

Although I haven't come across this usage before, I'm guessing the meaning here is "quasi cylindrical", "quasi polygonal", etc. i.e. more or less cylindrical, etc.

agree  philgoddard: I found only a tiny number of hits for this construction. If you wanted to avoid repetition of "quasi", you could say approximately, roughly, or more or less.
