Just a thought, since you also have the "other components / elements" item.

I would read this first one as being something that could be detected in terms of discrete particles (however tiny!), whereas the next element might be, for example, gases... I know that things like oxygen content are quite important and often quoted for some metals (Cu immediately springs to mind)

I'm no metallurgist, though!
