In Norwegian you can say "bindende påmelding", e.g. when registering for a course, which means that when you have signed up you will have to pay, even if you don't participate. Is there a similar term or phrase in English.

binding registration
This would suit most contexts.
Example sentence:
Please fill in the binding registration form, PRINT IT, SIGN IT, AND SEND IT it to the school via ordinary mail.
Note from asker:
I was trying to avoid "binding registration", as it does not sound right to me. I prefer something like "non-refundable registration fee", but nobody has entered it so I can select it and award points. |
