I have both undergraduate and graduate degrees in languages. I have studied comparative linguistics in many language famiies (Germanic, Scandinavian) leading me to be skilled translating from similar languages, such as Danish, Norwegian, and Swedish. Although I started translating professionally before the advent of the Internet, I am expert in researching terminology online and using other digital tools. Despite my delight in using computer tools, I believe that only a human being can fully and correctly translate. We all use AI to some extent, but it is not infallible!
