French term or phrase: visant les pièces suivantes
I know this should be straightforward, but can someone tell me how to say "visant les pièces suivantes" in the following context.

This is on the list of documents examined for a certificate of French citizenship.

First there is the applicant's own birth certifiate, parents' and grandparents' birth certificates, then the applicant's father's certificate of French citizenship with its own list of documents :

- certificat de nationalité française délivrée à son père le XXX par le Service de la Nationalité à Paris sous le no. XXX ***visant les pièces suivantes***:
-acte de mariage de ses parents…

Hope that's clear.
Many thanks in advance.

Explanation:
This is what I have used in the past. It's not literal, but it factually describes what is going on: the list of supporting documents form the basis of the registrar's understanding and certification of the individual's nationality.

Although I think the more frequent formulation is "sur le vu des pièces suivantes"; and now I'm second-guessing whether I have used "on the basis of" for "visant" or "sur le vu de" or both...

Thanks to all for your input in this interesting discussion. I agree with JR - not the typical translation of "viser" but this is the meaning.

neutral  writeaway: visant means 'referring to' or perhaps concerning here. I have never seen 'on the basis of' used for visant. and of course pièces are documents-what else?

disagree  Daryo: context given by Asker: it's a list of documents referred to in another document - where do you see any "stamping" that could make sense? CAN'T BE that meaning of "viser".

Explanation:
- sighting as opposed to citing (visant et rappelant > as cited and quoted > see the web. ref.).

upon sight of, unless used for "AU VU DES PIECES SUIVANTES"

Although appears ambiguous for an action by the 'Service de la Nationalité', the locution would or could have been: 'ayant visé les pièces suivantes' - so changing the emphasis to initialling or countersigning (stamping or even indexing) - a potential ambiguity that seems to have thrown the answer in two different directions.
