Just wondering if it might mean this. La Cerisaie, (as far as I know) is about passing time and making decisions. If this play could follow on from that, then it may be about the end of one era and the beginning of the next.

apparemment les "accents crépusculaires" se réfèrent au "crepuscolari" groupe de poètes italiens du début du XXe s. (G. Gozzano, S. Corazzini, C. Govoni) dont l'œuvre est mélancolique et ironique en même temps.
J'ai vu sur un site "crepuscular poetry" mais je ne sais pas si "crepuscular" est le terme consacré.
